The biggest mistake I’ve made this past month has been thinking that I could brush aside how I feel about my dad’s passing and continue working as if nothing happened.
Buried my dad on a Friday and was back to work on the following Monday. I only took 4 days of leave to get my shit into order and travel home before the burial but not to mourn him.
